Rani Lakshmi bai was Born in 1835, the Queen of Jhansi, Rani Lakshmibai, can be best described as a rebel who fought hard in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 which began on May 10, 1857. Famously known as Rani of Jhansi, Lakshmi bai was born into a Maratha Brahman family and was named Manikarnika. She was nicknamed Manu from Manikarnika.
